DEATHS IN THE YEAR 2015 SIDDALINGAIAH ERA ENDS

One of the top ranking directors of yesteryears of Kannada cinema Siddalingaiah died on Thursday afternoon (12th March 2015) due to H1N1 and multiple complaints in his health.

The 79 years legendary director of epoch making films like ‘Bangarada Manushya’, ‘Boothayyana Maga Ayyu’ and 21 other successful films Siddalingaiah maintained a quiet life after the death of his firs son top Tamil actor Murali. He was admitted to Suguna Hospital a fortnight ago. He did not respond to the treatment even with ventilator on Thursday afternoon, the sad demise came from the hospital doctors.

 

SIDDARAMAIAH RESPECT TO SIDDALINGAIAH

The 79 years stalwart of Kannada cinema direction Siddalingaiah who breathed last on Thursday afternoon was kept at the Suguna Hospital to offer respect to cinema industry and other personalities.

Karnataka chief Minister Siddaramaiah arrived to pay last respect to the departed Siddalingaiah. Sa Ra Govindu accompanied the Karnataka chief minister at Suguna Hospital situated in Rajajinagar Rajakumar Road.

KN TAILOR ERA ENDS

The father of Tulu cinema KN Tailor passed away on Wednesday in a private hospital in Mangaluru. 75 years veteran was once super star of Tulu cinema was considered ‘Father’ of Tulu language one of the four recognized languages of Karnataka state.

Starting from stage plays Tailor introduced the current top personalities like Dr Jayamala, Geethapriya and others. Dr Jayamala in teen age made debut in ‘Kaasadaye Kandane’.

NANJUNDI NAGARAJ NO MORE

Well known stunt director of over 100 films and dupe artist for many stars Nanjundi Nagaraj died on Thursday early morning after a massive heart attack.

 

55 years Nanjundi Nagaraj directed a film ‘Sketch’ but he could not sketch it properly for success. He leaves behind his wife Shamanthakamani and sons Dhananjay and Yashwath. 

RANGASWAMI NO MORE

Imitating the voice of Dr Rajakumar, Rangaswami lived in his life and due to kidney failure breathed last in Mysooru KR Hospital on Thursday.

Rangaswamy a former employee of Karnataka State Police forming ‘Gangotri’ team was giving programs with typical voice of Dr Rajakumar. He was considered as Junior Rajakumar in his voice.

ACTOR JAYARAM NO MORE

A theatre, cinema and television actor Jayaram K, brother in law of noted director TS Nagabharana succumbed to heart attack at Bijapur on the sets of Sathyaprakash direction untitled film. He was 58. Jayaram was rushed to Bengaluru Jayadeva Hospital but he could not survive.

Seetharam. C passed away

One of the highly reputed and highly knowledgeable cinema journalists Dr C Seetharam passed away at the age of 74 on Tuesday morning. He was ailing for some time, could not withstand dialysis. He died in the sleep says his highly educated son Karthik. He leaves behind wife, son and two daughters. Seetharam cremation is taking place on Wednesday morning.

TALLAM DEPARTS

 

Former KFCC President, exhibitor of Bhumika (earlier States) and Abhinay (first escalator theatre in Karnataka) theatres Tallam Nanjunda Shetty departs at 89. He was admitted to Vikram Hospital for age old problems.

 

He leaves behind two sons and the cremation is taking place on Monday afternoon says family sources. Tallam Nanjunda Shetty born on 2nd July 1926 lived like a king and supported the good cause. A commerce graduate in 1948, Tallam became commerce union President soon. In 1950 he took up distribution of Bombay Dyeing and Mafatlal fabrics in Karnataka.

NAGENDRAPPA NO MORE

One of the senior most producers HV Nagendrappa passed away recently because of age old problems. A veteran producer of films such as ‘Arishina Kumkuma’ starring Kalyan Kumar and Kalpana, Shubha Milana starring Dr Vishnuvardhana and Ambika, ‘Singari Bangari’ starring Kashinath and Kavya, ‘Prema Saakshi’ starring Ananthnag and Saritha, ‘Hendthi Beku Hendthi’ starring Ananthnag and Gayathri – Nagendrappa was a guide to the young producers.

 

AACHI MANORAMA ACTED IN KANNADA TOO

One of the finest actresses of South Indian cinema Aachi Manorama who passed away late on Saturday night was also in a few Kannada films in her career of 1300 plus films.

Manorama acted in Ninagaagi Naanu, Devara Duddu, Geddavalu Naane, Devara Gudi, Premanubandha and Preethiya Nanna Daiva Kannada films in her career.

KSL SWAMEE ERA ENDS

One of the leading directors of yesteryears, authority on many topics, orator, singer, great human being, actor KSL Swamee departs at 76 years. Last February 21, he celebrated his birthday and was joyous for his wife actres BV Radha returning to good health.

 

KS Swamee was colorful personality with divinity in his works. His long time association with Bhishma of Kannada cinema GV Iyer got him more knowledge when he associated with Sri Shankaracharya, Sri Madhwacharya and Sri Ramanujacharya Sanskrit films in his career. With his knowledge and profound learning KSL Swamee started a Sanskrit film 'Prabodha Chandrodayam' in Sanskrit based on the 11th century work of 'Krishnayathi-Mishra' play. That could not be completed.
